Fine-grained contact privacy controls
Introduce granular address book privacy controls similar to iOS 14's Photos access settings. Currently, apps get all-or-nothing access to contacts, creating a privacy nightmare where third parties like Facebook upload entire address books and can cross-reference personal data from multiple users' contact entries.
Apple should provide per-contact or limited-contact access options and strongly discourage users from granting unfettered contact access to third-party apps, since this leaks other people's private information without their consent.
Update: Apple has implemented this feature! You can now choose "Limited Access" for apps and select specific individual contacts to share. See Apple's official guide for details on how to control contact access per app.
