Track Medications in the Health App

The Health app on iPhone lets you log medications, vitamins, and supplements — with reminders to help you stay on schedule.

How to set it up

  1. Open the Health app on your iPhone
  2. Tap Browse at the bottom, then tap Medications
  3. Tap Add a Medication
  4. Search for or type the medication name, then select the dosage form and strength
  5. Set your schedule (e.g., every day at 9 AM) and tap Done

Good to know

  • You'll get reminder notifications at your scheduled times — just tap to log whether you took the dose or skipped it.
  • The Health app can warn you about critical medication interactions when you add a new medication.
  • Your medication data syncs to Apple Watch, so you can log doses from your wrist.
  • All medication data is encrypted and stored securely in the Health app.
  • Requires iOS 16 or later (watchOS 9 or later for Apple Watch logging).
