Send Route from Maps on Mac to iPhone
Plan a route in Maps on your Mac, then send it to your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch — directions are ready to go when you walk out the door.
How to use it
- Open Maps on your Mac and search for a destination
- Click Directions to generate a route
- Click the ⓘ (Info) button next to a route
- Choose Share, then select which device you want to send directions to
- Open Maps on your device to view the directions
Good to know
- Both devices must be signed in to the same Apple Account.
- You can only share driving routes that don't contain multiple stops.
- Synced searches also appear below Recents in Maps on iPhone or iPad (iOS 16 / iPadOS 16 or later).
- Alternatively, save a place in Maps on Mac — saved and pinned places sync automatically to your other devices via iCloud.
