Tip

Custom Alert at 100% Charge

Using the Shortcuts app, you can create a personal automation that alerts you when your iPhone reaches 100% battery — so you can unplug and preserve battery health.

How to set it up

  1. Open the Shortcuts app and tap the Automation tab
  2. Tap + to create a new Personal Automation
  3. Select Battery Level as the trigger
  4. Set it to Equals 100% and tap Next
  5. Add an action — choose Show Notification (to get a banner alert) or Play Sound (for an audible chime)
  6. Tap Next, then Done

Good to know

  • You can customize the notification text to say whatever you want, like "Unplug me!"
  • Consider combining this with Low Power Mode actions to automatically toggle power settings based on battery level.
  • The automation runs automatically — no confirmation needed after setup.
